We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing, and responsible team members who take pride in ensuring a positive experience for our patrons for both Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall.

Job Duties
• Prepare show programs with inserts and ensure adequate supply are available at assigned section prior to each performance or event
• Direct patrons to their sections, seats, and washrooms
• Assist patrons with special needs
• Monitor assigned section throughout performances to ensure patron enjoyment and identify any potential issues
• Communicate house policies in a diplomatic fashion with respect to late calls, cameras and recording devices
• Resolve patron concerns/issues independently and defer to Floor Captain, Supervisor or Security as required
• Ensure cleanliness and readiness of assigned section and report any deficiencies to Supervisor/ Captain
• Provide crowd control for patron lines, artist signings, catering events and keeping access routes clear
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
• Identify opportunities to improve levels of patron service and present to management

Patron Service
• Greet all patrons with respect and a warm, sincere welcome
• Proactively maintain current knowledge of upcoming events, and services/facilities available at the halls and surrounding areas to be able to knowledgeably respond to patron questions
• Provide feedback to senior management with respect to patron comments and concerns
• Analyze operations and identify opportunities to improve levels of service
• Possess a thorough knowledge of procedures for handling patron incidents and emergencies and be prepared to handle these situations should they arise
• Ensure emergency egress points from assigned section are kept clear and safe

Skills and qualification required
• Must be available to work flexible schedule, including daytime, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability and willingness to strive for excellence and superior customer service is essential
• Professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, enthusiastic disposition
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 2 hours
• Smart Serve certification required
• Professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous ushering experience an asset but not required
